About the Item
A black amethyst glass lidded vessel with ormolu mounts made in Bohemia (Modern Day Czech Republic), circa 1900. Although made 120 years ago, the piece's minimal design is timeless with perfect proportions and restrained ornamentation. The piece presents beautifully with only some minor wear to the underside, commensurate with age and use. A beautiful addition to a bathroom benchtop to hold cotton tips or cotton buds, or equally as lovely on a nightstand beside the bed.
