Danish 19th Century Wooden Folk Art Bible Box "Forget Me Not"

About the Item

Mid-19th century wooden box designed to look like a Bible. Text engraved with monogramme. The four words in the corners are quite cute and charming: Danish: "FOR - GLEM - MIG - EJ" = Eng : "FOR - GET - ME - NOT" Intended to allow a discreet location to hide a flask, of course there are plenty of other small items that could be stored within. Swedish or Danish.
