English Art Deco Pewter Tea Caddy Box
About the Item
This elegant English Art Deco geometric hand-hammered dinanderie polished-pewter-covered decorative box or tea caddy was manufactured by A.E. Poston & Company, Birmingham, England, for their Knighthood Old English Pewter Collection. The lovely geometric rounded shape has faceting and hammering. The tea caddy is marked on the underside with legal metalworker stamps.
The item is in good condition, with some minor wear visible on the metal, but it does not significantly affect the overall appearance.
Measurements: 5.50 in diameter (14 cm) x 6.69 in high (17 cm).
Note: A.E. Poston & Company, Birmingham, England. They developed their Knighthood Old English Pewter circa 1930. The company was in business from 1936 to 1953.
