French Art Deco Hat Box with Exotic Leaf Motif, 1920s–1930s
Vintage French hat box, c. 1920s–1930s, in an elegant oval form. Crafted in sturdy cardboard and clad with coated decorative paper, the design features an exotic palm leaf pattern in warm golden-brown tones against a glossy surface, contrasted by a black-painted lid and base. On one side, the box is secured with its original small metal studs, underscoring its authentic period craftsmanship.
This rare and decorative piece embodies the glamour of the past, best suited as a display object.
The piece is heavily patinated, with surface cracks, small imperfections, and signs of wear consistent with its age, that only enhances its character. All details of condition are visible in the images.
