About the Item
The modern design of the shiny metal box in the shape of a trunk is matched by the precious coating genuine shagreen leather melange color green-biege. Elegant piece of furniture, ideal for storing playing cards, cigarettes, small jewels.
Part of the collection Galucharme designed and handcrafted by Nino Basso, the trunk box is made of metal glossy coated all around with the charming shagreen skin in melange color sage green-biege.
A refined skin composed of a myriad of grains that look like beads much used for furnishings of furniture and art objects in art deco style in the 1920s and 1930s, also famous under the name galuchat, the name of the inventor of a very complex technique for its manufacture.
With the will to again enhancing the decorative resources of this fascinating skin, Nino Basso, after patient research has recovered many secrets of its processing and devised objects of modern design furniture that are part of the exclusive Galucharme collection of Design Center 1991.
