Beautiful snuff box made of pressed horn. The lid depicts "Palais de l'Institut" from Paris. So the box was a souvenir box.
The mechanism plays 3 melodies and is signed on the comb "F. Nicole". It was made in Switzerland and plays as one would expect from a music box of this manufacturer and period.
