An Italian Renaissance strong box circa 1550 in walnut with steel strapwork of elaborate design. Strapwork and corner plates fastened with hand peaned rivets. Original lock tumbler, double hasp hinges, ring and bail handles. Glowing patina. A remarkable survivor.
