Japanese Antique Black Lacquered Box 1860s-1900s / Tansu Sideboard Wabisabi

This box is made in Japan and coated with black lacquer.
The furniture was made during the Meiji period (1860s-1900s) and is made of cedar wood. The metal fittings are made of copper, and their timeworn greenish-blue hues provide a quiet accent.
