Keywind 6 tune musical box by Nicole Freres
About the Item
Restored to the origal condition a Nicole Freres music box.
Made in 1859 this music box plays 6 tunes as indicated on the original tunesheet.
The casa has nice inlay to the top of the lid and is polished. The inside of the box is red polished. The front, back and left is in a simulated rosewood as it was origanally done.
The mechanism is keywind, is signed to the baseplate and the comb, numbered to the right-hand corner 37119 (as it is numbered to the bottom of the case).

Case has been re-polished, the mechanism has been done (all dampers, speedregulator, polished, all pins to the cylinder....) READY TO PLAY FOR 100Years!!! Minor losses. Music boxes are fragile objects and when restored by a specialist who does just that, they are made to serve a lifetime of enjoyment!!
