About the Item
An impressive Antique Solid Silver Box with a round body and a fitted hinged lid. The Box is embellished on both the lid and sides with ornate and detailed chased designs. The Lid shows a group of cherubs or putti frolicking in a floral garden, playing a variety of musical instruments. The Lid is further decorated with a rose pattern border. The sides of the box show a repeating chased floral and scroll border surrounding shaped cartouches. The Box stands on four feet and is gilded on the inside. The box is of substantial size.
Made in Germany in c. 1910.
Made in 830 standard silver.
