Mid-19th Century Italian Carved and Painted Decorative Box

About the Item

This elegant antique box was crafted in Italy, circa 1850. The colorful, detailed box features hand painted scenes of people with horses and butterflies. The rectangular box has its original painted finish in a yellow and green palette embellished with gilt accents. The piece is in excellent condition with a rich patinated finish. Place the box on a vanity and use it to hold jewelry, in an office to catch nick-knacks, or use it on a coffee table to store your remote controls. Measures: 14.5" W x 12.5" D x 6" H.
