19th Century French Leather Bound Books Decorative Box with Hidden Drawer
About the Item
Store your TV remote controls or other valuables in this decorative leather box. Created in France circa 1880, the box is shaped as three antique leather bound books stacked together, with the lower book functioning as a hidden drawer. The box surface is decorated with gilt tooling around the edges. When lifting up the top, it reveals an interior upholstered with green and red plaid fabric, while the inside top is embellished with Latin music sheet. The colorful box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated leather finish. Decorate a coffee table or a library shelf with this trompe l'oeil decorative box.
