About the Item

Beautiful music box by Bendon. Made in about 1880 in Switserland by this well known manufacturer. The mechanism plays 8 tunes on a 28cm cylinder as indicated on the original 'Bendon' tunesheet. Animated by 3 chinamen hitting the 6 bells. The speed regulator is marked 'AP&Co' for the seller. The case has inlay to the top, front, left and right side and is raised on small feet. French polished to all sides (except bottom...) Very rare music box, an great addition to any collection.
