New Old Stock 1970s Silver Plate Peanut Box With Gold Tone Interior
About the Item
Outstanding New Old stock silver-plated peanut box, signed: "F.B. Rogers Silver-plate Japan" on bottom. This truly unique peanut was made during President Carter's administration as a commemorative item, circa late 1970s. F.B. Rogers Silver Company was founded in 1883.
The interior has a beautiful luxurious shiny gold tone. This gold-tone is silver-plating that has slowly tarnished over the last 50 plus years. It was never used and remained in its original blue cardboard box. The excellent condition and lack of handling makes this item even more rare. There are some very minor marks on the gold finish which are barely noticeable and hard to photograph.
