Vintage insulated human specimen transport trunk.
This piece was one of several specialized boxes used to ship blood across the country. This particular cooler was utilized by an Illinois-based Regional Blood Center in Peoria. It features a steel-clad exterior with rivets that houses an aluminum-lined interior. Light enough to be lifted by one person.
