About the Item
Painted four sided box, the top is split and hinged on each half to allow access from both sides; all sides and top with similar decorative and vivid painting featuring stylized flowers and foliate. The two sides that open have a reticulated round metal plate to which a swinging metal hasp connects to. Each corner has metal strapping with ''spear head'' ends (similar to the top hinges) . The bottom of the box is wrapped on all sides with a plinth molding and it rests on turned bun feet.
