About the Item
A delightful, Japanese licensed Pink Panther Collection lidded box distributed by Royal Orleans and dated 1981. The ceramic box is of large oval form with a fitted slightly domed cover mounted with a lying figure of the Pink Panther with his head resting on his arms and his rear legs folded and raised. The lower body of the box has a pink tinge with the cover painted in a deep reddy pink with the figure hand painted in traditional pink with colored highlights wand painted features. The box mug has a printed The Pink Panther Collection mark to the base along with United Artists copyright and is dated 1981.
Provenance: From an extensive private collection of Pink Panther related memorabilia and acquired through the UK Art Market.
In good condition with light natural wear associated with age and use and a tiny edge nick to the inside rim.
