About the Item
Striking in its originality and abstraction, this high-style Art Deco lidded porcelain box is decorated with a series of foliate and abstract motifs, executed in silver glaze, that hint at gears and fans. The combination of a pale ivory glaze highlighted in silver is beautiful and elegant. Clearly marked "Made in France," this box may have been made by the famous Primavera Studios established by Le Printemps department store in Paris.
