About the Item
Cofanetto Italiano, scatola con coperchio Laccata con Finta Carta e Fiorellini fine 1700. Realizzata nei toni dell’azzurro e decorata su tutti i lati con fiori e racemi in color rosa e oro.
La particolarità di questo cofanetto rettangolare in legno dipinto del XVIII secolo è nella decorazione del coperchio, un finto foglio di carta con angolo spiegazzato in basso a destra, sul quale è disegnato a pennino d’inchiostro un Cupido con arco e freccia nel riquadro a sinistra, un paesaggio costiero con barca ed architetture nel riquadro sulla destra.
La decorazione reca in basso la firma dell’autore sempre a china non decifrabile P.Cav. Follius Calamo Fecit. L’interno di questa antica cassetta portagioie è pitturato in rosso. La scatola è in buono stato di conservazione. Di origine italiana, risale alla fine 1700.
Questa scatola d’epoca è arrivata a noi munita di cerniere, ma improprie, in considerazione dell’esiguità dello spessore del legno in prossimità delle cerniere e della presenza di una piccola cornice inquadra il perimetro esterno; questo dettaglioci ha indotti a pensare che il coperchio fosse appoggiato sulla stessa senza essere fissato; pertanto abbiamo provveduto a ripristinare lo stato originario.

Secondo la legislazione italiana vigente, qualsiasi opera d'arte creata oltre 50 anni fa richiede una licenza governativa per l'esportazione chiamata Belle Arti.
