BLING BOX 1 Studio Greytak’s Bling Box 1 draws from the power of place to inspire creative expression. Gold leaf contours a piece of wood from John Greytak’s own Bearmouth ranch and brings each ripple and edge into sharp focus. A bed of emerald-green malachite cushions this one-of-a-kind landscape, while a spill of brilliant Herkimer diamonds, themselves a product of a single location on earth, reflect the vivid colors around them. Inside the banded pink rhodochrosite box, grounded by a maple burl base, a host of gems from around the world form a colorful horizon. Topaz, the stone of truth, jadeite, a stone of resurrection, sensual garnet, fiery rhodolite garnet, playful fluorite, and tourmaline, the gem of rainbows combine with the hard to find rhodonite and the prismatic mystic quartz in a stunning display. Soothing agate from the ancient Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico takes center stage, both grounding the soul and pointing toward the heights of creative expression. Mined from the Ural Mountains in the 19th century, Russian malachite was highly prized throughout Europe. Today the most beautiful malachite comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo where it's brilliant green continues to delight gem lovers around the world. Malachite is one of the strongest stones for protection against negative energy. It also enhances willpower and strengthens our ability to take action on our thoughts and ideas. Malachite carries the frequency of the enlightened leader and reminds us of our power to manifest with the Universe.
