Swedish Folk Art Hunting Box Dated 1802 in Oak

About the Item

A Swedish oak-wood box from the Gustavian period dated 1802. The richly carved box with scenes of a dog hunting a deer, doves flying and black grouses. Decorated with a pattern of rocailles. This Scandinavian folk art box is decorated with brass handle and brass lists and key shield.
