This is a vintage carved keepsake case. A Chinese, satinwood decorative box, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Profusely carved throughout with an abundance of Oriental craftsmanship
Displaying a desirable aged patina - some small loss to the carved figures within the lid cartouche
Warm satinwood stocks present deep caramel hues throughout
Natural interior presented in a wonderfully clean manner
Chased foliate patterns accentuate each decorative frieze
Central lid cartouche presents great depth, with mounted riders
Fretwork scenes adorn each fascia with birds in flight
Small inset lock within a diamond lozenge — key absent
