About the Item
A superb antique 19th-Century French oak and boulle work box with fitted interior, a removable inner jewelry tray, and the original fully working lock and key, circa 1880. This fine box has exquisite brass inlaid flowers, scrolls, foliate design, and brass stringing on the lid, brass key plate and corner bands, and lovely domed shape. It's a nice large size with retractable brass handles on the sides and the interior is lined with a lovely green velvet with the original vanity mirror glass on the interior lid. This exquisite box is in beautiful condition and would make a very special gift.
