About the Item

It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process. This elegant Baroque chest - treasury comes from Bohemia from the 18th century. It is made of solid walnut wood and has brass fittings. The chest has undergone careful restoration and is fully functional. It includes a very ingenious screw mechanism to attach from inside the treasury for security against theft. This Baroque chest - treasury is ideal for those looking for furniture with history and style. It is a beautiful and functional piece of furniture that will adorn any interior.

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver gilt castle top vinaigrette depicting Abbotsford House; an addition to our collectable box collection. This exceptional antique sterling silver gilt vinaigrette has a rectangular form with rounded corners. The cover of this fine vinaigrette is embellished with a scene of Abbotsford House in high relief. The sides of the box are embellished with panels of engine turned decoration. The underside of the box is ornamented with engine turned decoration incorporating a rectangular cartouche displaying the contemporary engraved initials 'EA'. Both the base and cover are embellished with applied scrolling leaf decorated borders. The hinged silver gilt vinaigrette cover allows access to the original hallmarked hinged, pierced decorated silver gilt grille, in addition to the original sponge. This Birmingham silver vinaigrette retains the original gilding to the interior and exterior surfaces.
