Crafted, circa 1880, the safe is cast iron and has a chic two-tone black and silver paint finish. The travel safe features a heavy handle on the top and is decorated with studded hobnails throughout. The front door is decorated with a plaque which reads "Incombustible Systeme Bauche Brevete SGDG Usine a Gueux Marne" engraved on the surface. The decorative box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich two-tone black and silvered patinated finish.
