A small antique repousse Chinese ink box displaying four figures wearing traditional Chinese garb. A really beautiful and unusual lidded box that is perfect for holding some rings or other jewelry next to your bedside or when you travel. Repousse is a technique that requires a very high level of skill and patience, creating the image by hammering from the reverse side. Remarkable that this was done for a simple ink box. You can only marvel at the great craftsmanship and admire the beauty created by an artist on this small bronze canvas.
