About the Item
A wonderful Viennese enamel cabinet , in black ebony with gilded ormolu elements and enamel cartouches,made in the Renaissance style , circa 1860.
The front of the cabinet is decorated with two enamel plaques of dancing ladies in Roman dresses , with two drawers below with two painted enamel cartouches of allegorical love scenes.
The inside of the cabinet reveals three further drawers with painted enamel plaques and the back of the cabinet is also decorated with three more allegorical enamel plaques.
At the top of the cabinet sits an ormolu putto and the sides have marble effect columns.
