An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edward VIII English sterling silver and enamel cigarette case; an addition to our silver smoking related silverware collection.
This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver cigarette case has a plain rectangular form with rounded corners.
The anterior cover of this Art Deco cigarette case is embellished with an impressive green guilloche enamel panel which reflects a wavy concentric ring design, emanating from one corner.
The ornamentation to the enamel panel incorporates an exceptional Art Deco style bracket border.
The posterior cover is ornamented with impressive engine turned decoration and the rounded sides are plain and unembellished.
This case is fitted with a plain rounded thumbpiece and push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.
This impressive example of antique silverware retains the original gilt interior and retaining strap.
