    An exceptionally fine quality example of a Lady’s or Gentleman’s English Regency Period polished brass mounted Flame Mahogany Inlaid Boulle Style Jewellery or Trinket Casket or Table Box made during the first quarter of the Nineteenth Century, of English origin.  The rectangular form with hinged lid opening to reveal a later burgundy coloured woven fabric which is superbly done. Central cartouche on lid with initials possibly RLH.  This exquisite casket is raised on four generous beaded bun supports.  Condition: Good condition with nice patination, no losses to brass inlays. Lock is present and working, key does not turn, original drop ring handles at sides.  Height: (entire closed) 3.5" (9cm). Width: (at front) 10.5” (27cm).
