1880s Wooden Tea Cabinet by Clark
About the Item
A rare English Marquetry tea cabinet made by Clark of 20 Old Bond Street, London.
For the Chinese tea producer Tuck Loong to present tea samples (mostly for the flower teas which open when put into hot water) from the year 1880s to an important customer
Marquetry made of different wood essence to represent tea leaves, flowers and a butterfly.
The back of the box is the only side where its written in English:
Season 1887x1888, Choicest, Double, Scented Caper, CPA (in a heart shape), N*17, Tuck Loong.
The interior comprise a stack of 5 trays of different height. (not drawers)
