Oval Satinwood inlaid Tea Caddy

About the Item

A very fine quality stainwood and inlaid oval single compartment tea caddy. the top inlaid with a well executed oval patera within an ebony cross-banding. the front inlaid with a central ribbon of harebell flowers flanked by two sycamore and tulipwood banded ovals. Circa 1790. Original interior tin-paper lining and lid.
