About the Item

A fascinating modern cast iron candle holder. Stylistically a cross between faux naive and brutalist. Each section includes a somewhat repetitive form of primitive like carvings that look to represent the sun, water, land, and other elements. Includes a wire on the back for hanging and two rods with holes for heavy duty hanging hardware to be installed as needed. FIve candle holders are set at alternating elevations. No obvious identifying markings of the maker on the piece. In good condition. Some gentle wear consistent with age and use. This candle holder would make a great accent in any home. Perfect as a feature on a wall in a living room or out in a backyard. Measurements: Width: 23.5" / 59.69 cm Depth: 4.5" / 11.43 cm Height: 30.25" / 76.835 cm

A handsome set of hand-made wall light 2 arm carved wood monkey sconce wall lamps. Hand painted finish with browns, reds and gilt trim. Decorative trim adorns the top above the figures and just below them. The lights stand on curved gilt metal rods with floral shaped flourishes. This was manufactured by Maitland-Smith. The monkeys in this set have a great amount of character and joy in their expression with a strong pose. Their hats and jackets appear to have colonial-esque jackets. There’s a strong s-curve pose for the figures as well. In Good condition. Some gentle wear on the small light shades. One of the shades has a small hole.
