Pair 18th Century French Gilt Bronze and Marble Figural Candelabra

About the Item

Our monumental pair of 18th century candelabra of French origin depict Roman neoclassical male and female holding cornucopia, finely carved from white marble, with four light ormolu bronze candleholders of foliate design with fruits, nuts and grape bunches. Provenance: Arne Schlesch & José Juárez Garza Antiques, New York. For over four decades, Danish-born Schlesch and his Mexican-born partner, Jose Juarez Garza, drew passionate collectors and interior designers from around the world to their townhouse gallery on East 64th Street on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, to choose from among the finest Scandinavian and European antiques.
