Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Candelabra with Cherubs
About the Item
A very fine pair of French 19th century Louis XV style figural gilt bronze and rouge marble six-light candelabra, each with a figure of a standing cherub holding the ornate scrolled arm candelabra, crowned with a gilt bronze candle snuffer in the shape of a burning flame. Each cherub standing on a square gilt-bronze plinth with different allegorical relief scenes of playful cherubs, all above square rouge marble bases raised on four acorn-shaped gilt-bronze legs, Paris, circa 1890.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. A truly beautiful, great quality and very charming pair of candelabra in good condition. All gilt is original and finely chase bronze. The gilt-has some minor spotting (see images) but will probably clean if washed. Minor chipping on marble edge.
