Pair of French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Candelabras

About the Item

An extremely elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze, ormolu and marble, three arm candelabras. Each candelabra is raised by a triangular ormolu base with cut corners and a fine stepped design. The Vert de Patricia marble pedestals display the same design with lovely pierced ormolu mounts of a decorative amphora amidst fine foliate movements. Above are two elegant patinated bronze maidens draped in finely executed period attire. Each maiden is holding up and blowing two trumpets with scrolled design and spout shaped candle cups with finely chased masks. The central arm also displays striking mask to each side.
