About the Item
A striking and extremely high quality true pair of French 19th century neo-classical st. ormolu, patinated bronze and Vert Maurin marble aux victoires candelabras after a model by Thomire. Each candelabra is raised by elegant reeded topie shaped feet below the square Vert Maurin marble base decorated with richly chased ormolu mounts of a female maiden pouring water at the front and pierced lyres at each side. Above are stunning intricately detailed patinated bronze winged maidens dressed in classical attire holding an ormolu oil lantern in each hand with fine foliate and flame designs each leading to two candles at each side.
