Pair Sèvres Porcelain Ormolu Gilt Bronze Celeste Blue Candelabra Candlesticks
About the Item
A fine stylish and imposing pair of French three light table or mantle Sevres porcelain mounted ormolu candelabra of outstanding quality. Early to mid-nineteenth century.
Each with two scrolling leaf capped and one central branch above a chisel cast patinated bronze Cherub. Each bow fronted central lower support enclosing a hand painted disk depicting a single cherub on a celeste blue ground, flanked by two ormolu mounted swags, ending on a very ornate stepped base with six decorative toupie feet.
Condition: Superb condition complete with original firm fitting drip pans, some very light wear to decoration in porcelain areas at high points. Professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated.
Measures: Height: (an impressive, entire) 21.5" (54.5cm). Width: (at base) 6.5” (16.5cm). Depth: (at base) 4.5” (11.25cm).
