A Set of Three Anna Greta-Eker Silver Reindeer Antler Candleholders, 1960s
About the Item
A set of 3 very beautiful candleholders designed by Anna Greta-Eker. These pieces are a part of a very well known series of candle holders in different sizes and shapes but in this same distinctive design by Anna Greta-Eker. These 3 in particular are amongst the smallest models that she designed with 2 spots for candles in each one. Eker was a very established silver designer and one of the most important figures in modern scandinavian jewelry production in the 20th century. This model is one of her most internationally recognized works and is known as the "reindeer horns".
The condition and overall impression is great. The candleholders are mostly from the 1960s-1970s and are all stamped. One of them has a monogram as it was apparently given as a gift in 1975.
We have chosen to not polish any of these candleholders to leave the distinct vintage look with the slightly different patinas on each. Beautiful scars that only come with the passage of time should be left as is, in our opinion.
