Carved Candlestand
About the Item
This candlestand has a four-inch steel pricket. The top edge has a repeating capsule border. The upper stem has turned rings and repeating bead carvings that surround the stem. The center of the stem has acanthus leaves carved in high relief. It has a carved repeating bead and egg and dart moldings that surround the knop. The lower section has stop fluting with inverted carved bell flowers and a carved wreath base that rests on a shaped square plinth.
