ABOUT BASUN KERAMIK
Barbro Sundelin (1930-) is a Swedish ceramist, teacher, and speech therapist born in Halmstad. Influenced by her father, who was the head of St Erik Lervarufabrik (St Erik pottery factory) in Uppsala, she developed a lifelong passion for clay. Although initially a teacher, she dedicated herself to ceramics after retirement, founding Basun Keramik in 1997 in Uppsala. Known for her handmade gnomes, figures, bowls, and a unique bread bowl with an imprinted recipe, Barbro continues to create ceramics, signing her work "BASUN" (BArbro SUNdelin).
