About the Item

Amazing matching pair of solid brass sconces in the shape of rope and tassels and knotted ribbons holding two candle arms. These amazing set were produced in the 19th-century in France. Both remarkable pieces are ending in tassels, draped over buttons decorated with floral rosettes. These neoclassical elements, typical of the Louis XVI style, refer to Greek and Roman culture for inspiration. The brass casting is of excellent quality, with sharp details and showing a pleasant natural golden patina.
