Pair of Neoclassical Quiver Themed Gilt Wall Sconces by Palladio

About the Item

A pair of elegant Italian wall sconces (for use with candles) that feature an ebonized center and parcel-gilt stem supporting two gilt metal candle arms adorned with detail in the style of Louis XVI. Each center body is accented with a raised gold colored star. On the back there are Palladio labels and markings. The label shows a Feb 1971 date of manufacture. There is one very small area of loss to the end of the candle holder (see close-up image). Palladio was an Italian manufacturer of high-end lighting and wall decoration. These sconces are a fine example of their work.
