Pair of 19th Century Italian Renaissance Style Large Torcheres

About the Item

An exceptionally large pair of 19th Century Italian Gilt wood and painted torcheres . The bobeches are adorned with leaf carvings above a fluted column and graduated turnings. An painted and gilt carved swag display an acanthus leaf motif topping a three sided base adorned with crests and foliage patterns on the stemma. The torchers rest handsomely on paw feet. These make a grand statement at the entrance of any room, or as architectural accents for visual focal points.
