About the Item
A striking pair of Italian 18th century Baroque period Mecca Torchières. Each Torchière is raised by three elegant scrolled feet below the triangular shaped lightly curved base with lovely foliate carvings and a fine hammered design. The central supports display most decorative arrays of beautiful caved and mottled designs leading up to the circular tops with the original iron spikes. All original gilt throughout.
