PAIRE DE TORCHERES « AUX LIONS », PERIODE DE GEORGE III 1790 - 1800,
TRAVAIL ANGLAIS
Paire de torchères tripodes, constituées d'un fût cannelé et décoré d'un frise de feuilles d'eau , supportant une large bobèche formée de feuilles d'acanthe, avec noeud médian orné de feuilles d'acanthe. Le nœud se prolonge par une large chute d'acanthe s'enroulant au- dessus du trépied, formé de pattes de lion surmontées d'un mufle léonin. L'ensemble, en bois sculpté et doré, repose sur une base de forme triangulaire.
