17th-Century Forged Iron Spring Candlestick – Height 24 cm Rare and authentic 17th-century forged iron candlestick featuring a beautifully hand-wrought spiral stem and elegant tripod base. The central spring mechanism allows the candle holder to be adjusted in height — an ingenious early design typical of rural Europe in the 1600s. This example shows superb craftsmanship with rich, aged patina and traces of historical use, yet remains stable and complete. A fine collector’s piece of early lighting, both sculptural and functional.
