19th Century Italian Carved Polychrome and Painted Candlesticks, Set of Four
About the Item
Add an air of drama and elegance to your home with this important suite of tall antique candlesticks. Crafted in Italy circa 1860, each candle holder stands on a sturdy triangle base decorated with hand carved angel faces over three paw feet with scroll decor. Each carved stem is dressed with a metal bobeche to catch any dripping wax, and embellished with a real candle. The detailed grand walnut religious pieces are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and flaunt their beautiful, original polychrome and painted patinated finish. Place these important lights at the bottom of a staircase, in a master bathroom, or on a landing for a true elegant Italian look!
