About the Item

An antique Swedish pair of mid 19th Century Gustavian candle holders made of hand crafted Pinewood, in good condition. The sticks are patinated in white with gilded décor Acanthus leaves and elevated by three small feet. Topped with a metal plate with petal style motifs and raised on a circular tri pod base. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1860, Sweden, Scandinavia.
