Our Art Deco-inspired candleholders are ethically handcrafted by artisans in Southern India using a technique that is native to the region. The artisans use a metal alloy that is blackened with a locally found soil, and the piece is inlaid with brass and silver.
The purchase of this handcrafted candleholder helps to support the artisans and preserve their craft.

Care:
-use with dripless candles to avoid wax from settling onto the metal
-keep away from moisture
-wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth if any liquid splashes on the piece
-we use pure silver and brass wire for the inlay, which may tarnish over time. You can use a soft cloth lightly dipped in coconut oil and rub it over the piece to restore its original sheen and color

Leah Singh features a collection of handcrafted textiles that mix traditional Indian craft techniques with unexpected color combinations, and modern, geometric forms. Designer and founder Leah Singh works directly with artisans in villages across India using embroidery, weaving, and printing techniques that are native to the region. Her philosophy is to rejuvenate these age-old, traditional crafts by transforming them into modern objects. Leah grew up in India surrounded by it's rich cultural heritage, and spent her summers in New York surrounded by the structured, minimal lines of Western architecture. Her eclectic upbringing is reflected in each piece she designs. She now travels between her two homes in New York and Delhi, collecting inspiration for new collections.
