Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver-Mounted Wood Barley Twist Pricket Candlesticks

About the Item

Arts and Crafts Period, sterling silver-mounted barley twist wood pricket candlesticks, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1930, Deykin and Harrison - makers. Each candlestick measures 8 3/4 inches high (at highest point - without pricket) x 3 1/2 inches diameter across base. With the prickets inserted, the candlesticks are approximately 9 3/4 inches high. Underside of base of each candlestick is metal. Candlesticks are weighted. Metal prickets are removable. There are some minor dints and wear to both the sterling silver and the wood (see photos) on each candlestick commensurate with age and use. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good, antique condition.
